Milan, Italy has led in the field of design, it is where artisan chocolate nourishes the sweetest tooth, and then there is Brera where artists and others love to stroll. A magical place at any time it is also the city Maria Vittoria calls home.
She is the quintessential Milanese whose impeccable taste, grace and poise reflect loudly in her bounty of work. A costume jeweller for many decades she learned her craft working by her mother’s side; a legacy that she has now passed on to her daughter Simona.
This veteran of finery is an individual who leads by example; she has stayed true to her artisan traditions crafting each bracelet, ring and necklace with great care, in an unhurried manner just like her whimsical snail-motif ring.
Authenticity, fantasy, and creativity are her guides, and this simple ring speaks to all three!
About the Designer
In the heart of Milan there is a historical workshop. Founded in 1944, this small nook houses our own Maria Vittoria Albani; an eclectic designer of splendidly unusual costume jewellery.
Petite, elegant, and immensely talented, Maria makes art that speaks to natural beauty and is expressed through impeccable craftsmanship. Each piece is made by the nimble hands of artisans.
Maria’s career spans decades, and in recognition of her contribution to this art form Swarovski commissioned her pieces to be showcased in the crystal maker’s touring exhibition of “Teatro alla Scala”. Maria’s pieces also appeared in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
