Maria Vittoria Albani hails from Milan where iconic brands have come to be, where the espresso is always good and where masterpieces like Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper hold sway.
It is against this highly celebrated backdrop that our talented artisan holds her own, making precious items like her scarab beetle ring that beckons a second look.
Privately, we like to say that Maria Vittoria is a style maker; she is less inclined to agree for she is a humble person at heart.
She prefers simply maker of beautiful objects that stir the heart, encourage spontaneity and invite play.
Her scarab ring embodies all of these attributes. Imbued with eternal appeal, just like its ancient Egyptian ancestor, it pops day or night, rain or shine, eager to add a dash of élan to whatever your dress code may be.
About the Designer
In the heart of Milan there is a historical workshop. Founded in 1944, this small nook houses our own Maria Vittoria Albani; an eclectic designer of splendidly unusual costume jewellery.
Petite, elegant, and immensely talented, Maria makes art that speaks to natural beauty and is expressed through impeccable craftsmanship. Each piece is made by the nimble hands of artisans.
Maria’s career spans decades, and in recognition of her contribution to this art form Swarovski commissioned her pieces to be showcased in the crystal maker’s touring exhibition of “Teatro alla Scala”. Maria’s pieces also appeared in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
