Lucilla Giovanninetti is a jeweller who offers a unique point of view. An artist, an artisan, and a lover of fine things her handmade jewellery is bold, beautiful and whimsical.
This sculptural “excavated” heart demonstrates her talents. Its simple concave outline, and slightly off centre shape conveys her contemporary design leanings. The exquisite craftsmanship, meanwhile speaks deeply about her love of tradition and artisanal values.
A gem to be coveted Lucilla’s hand wrought bronze pendant which can be worn, day in day out and from desk to dusk has the makings of a signature piece. It matches easily with knitwear, perhaps a high-neck cashmere sweater, or something a little more flirty, like a divine black dress. Imagine it close to the neck with a pristine white beautifully tailored shirt. You will make quite the statement.
In reality, Lucilla Giovanninetti’s cast bronze heart-shaped pendant is a heritage piece whose unique style certainly calls attention to its enduring appeal. It is also an open invitation to wear your heart each time you feel like showing off your all knowing way of accessorizing.
About the Designer
In a postindustrial district of Milan, where 1920s architecture holds sway, we find Lucilla Giovanninetti in her workshop creating wearable art jewellery with a certain irreverence for time.
“Everything I do starts with inspiration. I look, and observe attentively, engraving in my heart and mind different forms and sensations.”
Lucilla honed her craft while at the “Accademia di Arte Orafa” in Milan (Goldsmith Academy). There she learned the time-honoured metallurgical techniques including the most difficult and complex – a method called “cera persa” or “cire perdue,” used by sculptors to create their prototype forms.
In 2010 Lucilla launched her first designs under the name “Eandare.” The Italian Collection is honoured to present a small handpicked selection of Lucilla’s numbered pieces – a capsule of bracelets, earrings, necklaces and pendants in finely polished natural bronze – that can be worn as complete sets or for a different effect, singly.
So have fun and live creatively with Lucilla’s Eandare…
