Only the brilliant mind of the Milanese designer Rossella Rossi could have transferred the DNA of Milano’s patrimony, art, culture, history, music, design, fashion, and a whole lot more to an elegant collection of fashion toiles dedicated to the city she carries in her heart. Drawing on the stained-glass windows of the Duomo and the facade of Palazzo Reale to the landmark Galleria Vittorio Emanuele onto “Horti” of Porta Romana, to paying homage to the staging of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at the venerable opera house La Scala, plus calling on the historical accord between Osaka and Milano.

Rossella freely interprets each theme by geometric motifs in a play of soft colors and unusual ones with a trompe l’oeil effect. The original patterns stamped onto the soft natural fiber, viscose muslin, give birth to multi-purpose toiles worn as scarves, wraps, tops, pareos, and many other ways. Why “Teli della Principessa”/Toiles of the Princess? Rossella’s two daughters invented the name; in their childhood, they loved to wrap themselves in large pieces of fabric to playact the princesses of their favorite fairytales. Today these Toiles are an indispensable accessory, a glamorous touch, Made in Milano.
