About that resolution. We don’t know about you, but the whole idea of a New Year resolution (while a most worthy tradition as it suggests a change for the better), goes from the present to the past in no time at all. At least for us co-founders, Myriam and Cristina, come the end of January, our best intentions become just that. Intentions.
On the other hand, dreams, well… these are something to hold onto and cherish. Life without dreams is hard to fathom.
Remember in your youth when on a warm summer’s day lying on the grass you watched the clouds — marvelling at their changing shape as they skimmed across the sky? Like the clouds, you allowed your mind to wander too, suddenly entertaining the idea of perhaps becoming a journalist, an intrepid traveller, a professional wanting to help others improve their lives. Do you remember how it felt to dream? It felt good, didn’t it? You felt alive, even invigorated.
Feeling alive, purposeful, motivated, excited — these are but a few of the feelings we have when thinking about what lies ahead in 2022 for The Italian Collection.
We are excited for our dreams to come to fruition and for the work of our artisans to reach more people and enrich their lives with timeless beauty handmade in Italy. Our handmade leather bags that beckon to be used daily; jewellery that murmurs “handcrafted with love;” cashmere and wool knitwear that invites with its elegance and subtlety; and silky scarves that adorn and flatter effortlessly. We present this new assortment of Made in Italy with great pride, love, and passion.
During these next twelve months we so look forward to reaching out to you, learning about you, and encouraging you to supportItaly and her talented artisan family. And we shall continue to focus on our firm belief that the timelessness inherent in our small handmade collection is doing its small part for respecting Mother Earth’s finite resources.
